Review on german Spinlog Magazine!

Hey, talking about networking on Insta! Met this guy, so welcome Markus from Spinlogmagazine (a new german online magazine supporter of new music).

He gave me a nice, clear spot and review on his website on the "Earcandy" section:

The Dutch multi-instrumentalist blends funk, jazz, and a bit of humor on his latest release.

Utrecht-based musician and producer JoosTVD is back with 'De Nada', a standout track from his 22nd digital album, 'The Very Hairy New Standard'. Built around a deep, infectious bassline, the instrumental blends upbeat funk with clever jazz melodies. Recorded in his home studio using Pro Tools, JoosTVD shapes a rich soundscape of organic drums, keys, and smooth guitars, bypassing traditional vocals entirely in favor of a playful, tongue-in-cheek vocal quirk.

Drawing inspiration from fusion pioneers like Frank Zappa and Gino Vannelli, the track balances a warm, late-night vibe with an energy that is ready for the weekend. It is a sharp reminder of how organic playing and tight arranging can keep a listener hooked from start to finish without needing a single lyric.

That Very Hairy New Video!

A.I. is everything these days. It will be a question of time when we're all depending on it I guess. Is this bad? Every invention has its positive sides and in my case I try to keep up with the "modern standards", new tools to stay creative, to create something mostly funny. I've always done that. And it sure was fun to do.

There are a lot of A.I.editors online where you can create a whole little movie from a simple picture. I've kept it low budget of course, that's the DIY principle! I had a lot of pictures already for the albumcovers, so I uploaded 2 of them, a start frame and an end frame. Then you come up with a story. This was my tiny fantasy: a man running scared, tries to escape a black planet with a balloon, but fails most of the time:

Go for example to Image to video to create one.

Subsequently, I had something like 15 little SD movies with a 5 to 10 seconds length frame. I loaded them in Veed, an online video editor and tried them out on this new funky song: De Nada

There's not a lot of singing on this song, only a few familiar Spanish shout-outs like: Gracias! De Nada and Adios! So it's a mostly instrumental funny funky groove with only the pretence than to get up and dance say gracias!
